Pamela Williams retires

The six-time Walkley Award Winner and Author has held various roles at the publication, including Editor-at-Large, News Editor, and Foreign Correspondent.
Editor-in-chief Michael Stutchbury said that Williams has been one of the masthead’s greatest journalists without formal training or background.
“But she brought with her one essential of great investigative journalism: a dogged compulsion to uncover both the essence and minute detail of some of the big industrial, political and business events of her time,” Stutchbury said.
Editor of the Financial Review, Paul Bailey said that she is a “superlative investigative journalist”.
