Stevens bows out of AIR News

Arthur “Artie” Stevens has officially retired from heading Australian Independent Radio (AIR) News.
He made the move after completing a management transition to Terry Daniel. Stevens, who founded AIR News in 2004, sold Daniel the company last year, but has stayed on as news director and weekend breakfast news presenter.
Although Daniel is officially in charge of the company, Stevens has agreed to pitch in.
“It’s retirement of sorts, as you can’t just stop dead, and I will be in the background assisting at times with technical and support services. Listeners will still hear me present The World on Monday and Tuesday, and the odd report for our services out of Melbourne,” Stevens told Radioinfo.
