Online news streaming platform Ticker News has added a technology news bulletin to its coverage.
Ticker founder Ahron Young made the announcement on LinkedIn, saying tech news was one of the key topics that platform has covered ever since it started two years ago.
Helming the tech bulletin is journalist Anthony Lucas.
Young also announced that a weather segment has been added, led by William Howard, while also airing a new crypto segment every Thursday led by Adrian Franklin and Jordan Michaelides.
Ticker itself has been expanding rapidly throughout 2021, adding offices in Singapore, London and New York alongside brand news studios in Melbourne.
The platform has also signed deals with wires agency Reuters and news streaming service News Player Plus....

Jacinta Lee is leaving the producer role at NBN Television. She announced in a Tweet today that she was going to Seven to be the news editor of breakfast show Sunrise. Tim Jeanes has officially retired from national broadcaster ABC. He had been with the network’s North and West bureau and the Eyre Peninsula bureau since signing up in 1998 after a decade of freelance assignments. He also worked for The Advertiser and a leading PR agency in Adelaide, plus appeared on the Triple J Unearthed show. “There's not a journo who has been through regional SA who hasn't learnt something from this absolute master of spinning yarns. Go well!” said ABC North and West SA chief of staff Khama Gilchrist.

Sarah Stuart is joining Stuff NZ in January 2022 as the head of life media. The newly-created role will have her oversee the production of Stuff’s life-related content across all digital and print media. Stuart is wrapping up affairs as the GM of communications, government relations and sustainability at Fletcher Construction. Her media experience comes from INL Newspapers, editor roles at APN regional and community newspapers, and a columnist spot at the NZ Herald. “I watched in admiration as Sinead bought the company back into New Zealand ownership 18 months ago and as she has grown its talent pool and reputation. Allan Cameron is flying back to Australia from Dubai, UAE, at the end of the year to rejoin Grant Broadcasters, reported Radiotoday. He is slated to restart working as Grant’s regional content director for Tasmania, with Hobart station 7HOFM under his remit. Cameron left Grant back in March 2018 to join the Arabian Radio Network as content director with Dubai city station Dubai 92. “To say it’s been a steep learning curve as part of a media group representing and respecting all cultures in the UAE is an understatement. The growth in my leadership and collaborative skills in this environment has been invaluable and I look forward to bringing it back to this role… The culture of Grant Broadcasters has changed so much since I left, although one thing remains the same and that is their commitment to being leaders in local and I’ve always admired that about Grant Broadcasters,” said Cameron. Ben Fordham will leave Australian Ninja Warrior to exclusively concentrate on running the breakfast show on 2GB. He said that after five seasons going on camera, the time was right to keep focusing on radio. “I am not going to be hosting Australian Ninja Warrior going forward because I found that it placed so much pressure on my family and on the breakfast show,” he said. Fordham’s breakfast show has been gaining ground in the surveys against Kyle and Jackie O since he took over from Alan Jones. She brings with her over 20 years’ marketing experience, including managerial stints at Goodman Fielder, Coles, News Corp Australia, and Nine.
