VIVA! taps new GM

VIVA! Communications has appointed Julia Slater as the new general manager.
She has been with the agency since March 2018 when she joined as a senior communications consultant, before taking up a role as a senior account director.
“In my new role as GM, my focus will be on the agency’s growth strategy, client management and team leadership. I’m excited to expand our business portfolio in Australia and Asia Pacific, support our team, and nurture the VIVA! culture,” said Slater.

Bud Communications expands to Hong Kong with new lead

Libby Mudie joins Nine as head of communications
Nine Entertainment has appointed Libby Mudie as head of communications, streaming & broadcast and business transformation.
“After moving into Corporate Affairs, I spent the next 10 years pitching, fighting the good fight, and building relationships with Nine’s journalists and management,” she wrote.
She first joined the 9News newsroom 12 years ago as a journalist and later moved into corporate affairs, working across media relations, crisis communications, public relations and internal communications.
Mudie worked in journalism and PR roles across various organisations, including rugbyunion.com.au, Nova Entertainment, Network Ten, Nine Network, Virgin Australia, Bank of Queensland, Crown Resorts and her own consultancy.
