Espresso di Manfredi began as a dream over fourteen years ago, when Stefano Manfredi and Julie Manfredi Hughes owned and operated the much celebrated Bel Mondo restaurant in Sydney. Searching for the perfect, premium espresso to serve their clientele, they met with D.E Coffee & Tea Australia and together they formulated an innovative proposal for that era – to create a premium espresso coffee blend and to join forces to build a modern Australian coee brand in the Italian tradition. In collaboration with D.E Coee & Tea master blender Wayne Archer, they worked together to translate Stefano’s ideas about flavour into Espresso di Manfredi. The result was the Classico, a complete coffee to satisfy on all counts, which was launched in 2000 after two years of exhaustive research and tastings. In 2013, a family was born with the addition of the bold Audacia and the elegant Chiaro.
