About Us

Mirrors of Africa is a vibrant, informative and inspiring Australian magazine for Africans written by Africans. By that, we mean all Africans – no matter what their colour or which part of the African continent they hail from. The unifying factor is that our readers now call Australia home. Our aim is to serve the African community – to educate, enlighten and entertain. We tell stories about the unique things Africans in Australia are doing, their creative endeavours, positions they hold, details of how their diverse cuisine and culture is impacting Australia. We desire to provide a ‘mirror’ – a small glimpse into the inspirational lives of African people making an impact in Australia – and how seemingly ordinary yet extraordinary Africans are adding their rich tapestry to the world around them. We wish to motivate, captivate and encourage all Africans to be proud of their heritage – and to passionately embrace the new.
