Royal Philips Electronics (NYSE:PHG, AEX:PHI) announced today that they have signed a definitive merger agreement with Lifeline Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: LIFE) under which Philips will acquire Lifeline, a leader in personal emergency response services.
