About Us

The Foundation Supporting a National Trauma Service in Sri Lanka, or Project BEAP for short, is an Australian initiative committed to establishing a national trauma service and teaching hospital in rural areas in Sri Lanka. Nearly two million citizens in the Batticaloa region need access to emergency, accident and orthopaedic treatment, though many are turned away due to lack of equipment and facilities.
