Payroll's never going to be fun. There it is. We said it. But does it have to be so painful? That's the question the Simply Payroll team set out to answer. After turning a wee company with one employee into New Zealand's largest online payroll provider, with 10,000+ customers, Simply Payroll’s CEO and co-founder Asantha Wijeyeratne thought he was done with payroll. But he got to thinking - could it be done better? He assembled a team with over 50 years' collective experience in payroll, and they sat down to fix the many issues they identified with current solutions. They wrote a wishlist of features that would solve these issues. Then Troy Tarrant, another co-founder and the company’s CTO, sat down and made those a reality with the Simply Payroll application. And here we are.
