PERTH, WESTERN AUSTRALIA, 1st November 2024 - Sarah, Duchess of York, renowned author and philanthropist embarks on an exciting visit to Australia, driven by a passion for literature and a desire to connect with her audience. 
 

The Australian tour, hosted by her Australian publisher, Serenity Press, will celebrate the Duchess Serenity Press Collection and showcase her commitment to literature, wellness, and empowerment.

This visit is particularly special as her publisher, Serenity Press, is based in Western Australia, making the event a significant opportunity to strengthen local ties within the publishing community. 

 

Her children's book Flora & Fern: Wonder in the Woods is published this month by New Frontier and is available in the Australian, New Zealand and UK territories. Fabulous Food Art, an exciting collaboration between the Duchess and TikTock sensation Laleh Mohmedi for Serenity Press will be published in November.

The Duchess is also eager to showcase her Duchess Serenity Collection, emphasising her commitment to wellness and empowerment. Furthermore, she is delighted to meet the talented illustrators who bring her stories to life, fostering creativity and collaboration. This trip allows her to share her insights and experiences with her Australian readership and reinforces her dedication to promoting literature and the arts in the region.
 

 

Sarah, Duchess of York is a Sunday Times and New York Times best-selling author twice over, children's book author, memoirist, philanthropist, film producer and public speaker. She has published over 80 books including two autobiographies and other titles dealing with health, empowerment, history, art, as well as novels and children's stories.  Her debut historical novel Her Heart for a Compass was published globally in 2022 with her second historical novel 'A Most Intriguing Lady' the following year, both Sunday Times Bestsellers. 

 

Other books include Demon's Land - recently awarded the prestigious 'Literary Titan' - the first in a series of three young adult books co-written with Michelle Worthington. 

 

A twenty-two book series for young readers was signed with Serenity Press in Australia and New Zealand including The Enchanted Oak TreeGenie Gems and Arthur Fantastic, CharlieBlue and Larry Lamp Post (awarded the Triton Gold Award 2022), What's Under Your Hat, Granny; A Gift of Kindness, the first two books in the Puddle Boots Series - Puddle Boots and Puddle Boots Christmas, The Girl on the Ceiling and Budgie the Little Helicopter Rescues Kubbie the Koala.   Three books from the original Helping Hands series have been re-released.  Other previous children's books include the series of Budgie the Little Helicopter, adapted into a highly successful animated series on US primetime Fox and the children's book Tea for Ruby, published by Simon and Schuster which had its debut at the top of the New York Times bestseller list. Other books include What I know now: Lessons Learnt The Hard Way; and a five book children's series about the adventures of Little Red.  The Duchess retraced Queen Victoria's travels abroad to co-write Travels with Queen Victoria as well as Osborne House.

 


 

In her role as the Founding Ambassador of the Youth Impact Council, a nonprofit organisation which launched at NYC Climate Week 2024, the Duchess is dedicated to accelerating tomorrow's youth leaders today. The Youth Impact Council opens lines of communication across generations of leaders, allowing the Duchess to both hear and respond to their advocacy in real time. As part of this mission, the Duchess is committed to listening and learning from the next generation, and she will focus on amplifying their work.
 

Earlier this year, the Duchess was appointed Co-Chair of Global Citizen NOW: Melbourne, where she led discussions on critical issues such as climate change, hunger, girls' education, and the importance of empowering youth leaders.
