Announcement posted by ASTRA Group Services 14 Jan 2015
We are proud and excited to announce that ASTRA Group Services now has a partnership arrangement in place with the University of Southern Queensland that will open up opportunities for many people to access and complete higher education in a more simplified manner.
ASTRA Company Director, Anthony Beasley recently finalised the partnership arrangement with USQ Vice Chancellor Jan Thompson in an official ceremony held at the university Toowoomba campus. Mr Beasley stated "The process is reliant on day-to-day work and project activities, rather than all your time spent in a lecture theatres, in tutorials or on-line. The Grad Cert, Masters and Doctoral programs in the Professional Studies pathway are tailor made to people busy in their workplace, who can now gain recognition for this work towards achieving a university qualification."
The qualifications cater for individual specialisations given that the university programs are very much focused on the role and responsibilities’ of the entrants workplace experience and current project work. Therefore for example, the industry, task or project specialisation can be placed in brackets after the post-nominals e.g. Grad.Cert.Prof.St. (Training Systems) , M.Prof.St. (Mine Management), D.Prof.St. (Resource Sector Project Management) and so-on.
