AFP hiring for ACT communications officer

The Australian Federal Police (AFP) is in need of a new communications officer under the ACT Policing’s Media and Public Engagement team in Canberra. The person will be assigned to support ACT Policing’s communications needs through developing credible strategies and advice for the department and external parties. They will also build content for the force’s official channels and will be seconded to the ACT Government Public Information Coordination Centre during emergency situations. Candidates for the post must have a detailed record in the corporate communications/PR and marketing circuit, including but not limited to government roles, plus prior vetting under AFP background protocols. Applicants who are also proficient in graphic design may be considered.
