National broadcaster ABC has opened a contract position for a breakfast presenter/producer in Gippsland. The term will be for 12 months.
The person will be tasked to comb ABC channels for the latest news and produce fresh bulletins with them. They will also create new posts on the ABC’s official social media accounts and drive audience engagement, plus develop local contacts.
Candidates should have a strong record in radio journalism and broadcast production, including sound editorial judgement. They should be capable of working within a team and to familiarise with regional audiences.

The person will cover all news developments in the Swan Hill region. They may also be assigned as presenters and engage the audience over social media
Candidates must have prior journalism experience, particularly in radio news production. They must be capable of working in a team or under minimal supervision, and are skilled in digital and social media operations.
SBS hiring for Indigenous audio and language content chief
SBS Radio is recruiting for a content lead specifically for Indigenous audio and language material, to be based in Sydney or Melbourne.
Under the head of language content, the Indigenous lead for audio and language will oversee the development of new material recorded in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander languages. They will also collaborate with NITV Radio and various content creators to further grow the SBS Indigenous Content Strategy and firm up compliance to the Audio and Language Content division’s RAP Elevate plan, while mentoring new staff.
The position is geared exclusively for media practitioners of Aborigine or Torres Strait Islander descent. They must have a strong record of building content catering to First Nations audiences and have successfully collaborated with other Indigenous media staff.
