Coady takes up Havas Media CMO spot

Francis Coady has been appointed as the Havas Media Group’s new chief marketing officer. He moves up from five years as GM of Havas Sports and Entertainment, with successful campaigns including those for a leading energy sports drink, a men’s healthcare brand, and a state tourism organisation. An in-house successor has yet to be announced. Edelman increases size of leadership crew

Edelman Australia has appointed new people to management positions with Natasha Brack as head of technology and Danny Cowan as director for corporate affairs. Brack joined the agency after almost six years with Microsoft Australia as senior communications manager and senior integrated marketing communications manager – both for the consumer marketing division.  Cowan was previously Starbucks Coffee’s senior manager for corporate in the EMEA region, based out of London, England, for four years. He joined Edelman out of his family’s requests to come back home to Australia. Anthem lands Spark gig

New Zealand PR agency Anthem has won the exclusive account for local telecoms outfit Spark, reported Stop Press NZ. The new deal will see Anthem liaise with Spark’s corporate relations department on strategic counsel and consumer, B2B, and corporate communications. Spark and Anthem previously worked on some projects in 2020, such as building awareness of Spark’s 5G Race Zone ahead of the recent America’s Cup and Spark’s new 5G Starter Fund. Mango Communications New Zealand is finishing the month with two new client signings. Property developer Kiwi Property is tasking Mango with internal and external communications efforts. Mango previously handled certain campaigns for Kiwi Property over the past five years. Notable quarry company Winstone Aggregates will also engage with Mango Aotearoa. The new deal will have Milk & Honey PR running a new growth and innovation brand awareness campaign for Grounded Packaging’s recyclable product line. The content will focus on new narratives to emphasise recyclable material over single-use plastics. WPP AUNZ agency opr has won representation for the Australian branch of solar equipment vendor Sterling and Wilson Solar Ltd, reported B and T.  The deal calls for opr to handle Sterling and Wilson Solar’s Australia communications campaign, through brand strategy/narrative development, digital strategy, content, media relations, and crisis management solutions.
