I spent most of my weekend being pulled up by people who were at the convention, journalists, readers, punters, people who recognise me. It was really lovely,” said Smith. “On the other end of the spectrum, boy, I don't know if I've seen the media room feel like quite as glum a place as it did this weekend. There were an awful lot of people that just felt like there was a ticking clock on a lot of their jobs.” The three day game convention held at Melbourne’s Convention and Exhibition Centre had a wide range of attractions, including panel discussions, booths and tabletop events. Smith highlighted Valve's Friday announcement of the introduction of the Steam Deck to the Australian market as a big moment f
