Historic slip in metro newspaper subscriptions

However, it's national newspaper - The Australian - bucked the trend improving subscriptions.

The Herald Sun was down 3.4 per cent to 149,000

The Daily Telegraph lost 1.7 per cent to 141,000

The Courier Mail fell 8 per cent to 132,000

The Advertiser was down 0.2 per cent to 106,000
