Bennett, Coleman & Co Ltd (BCCL) has entered into a partnership with OpenAI to make journalism from its newspapers and digital platforms, including The Times of India and The Economic Times, easier to find for readers in India and other countries. Under the partnership, BCCL stories will surface more readily when users search for information through ChatGPT. When a BCCL report informs a response, ChatGPT will name the publication and link directly to the original story, directing readers back to the BCCL platform to read the full report. BCCL said its newspapers and digital platforms will retain full editorial control. Editors and journalists will continue to be responsible for reporting, fact-checking, editing and publishing.
