The Data Beings English News YouTube Weekly Viewership Rankings for Week 15 (April 4–10) recorded a total of 181.2 million views across major English news broadcasters, reflecting a tightly contested digital race. NDTV topped the chart with 24.5 million views, securing a 14 per cent share of total viewership. CNN‑News18 followed with 22.4 million views (12 per cent), while Firstpost trailed close behind at 21.1 million (12 per cent). India will host its first workplace happiness-focused awards with the launch of the Happiest Places to Work Awards, aimed at recognising organisations that prioritise employee experience and positive workplace culture.   The Press Club of India (PCI) has strongly condemned the alleged attack on the Lakhimpur office of Assamese daily Asomiya Pratidin, calling it a serious assault on press freedom. In a statement issued on April 13, 2026, the PCI said the office was vandalised and pelted with stones by unidentified persons on the night of April 10. The incident reportedly took place shortly after public remarks made by Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma regarding media organisations. Pakistan's media watchdog Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) has issued a show-cause notice to a leading news channel for running "Indian content" while broadcasting the news about the death of legendary singer Asha Bhosle. Slamming Geo News for using Indian songs and visuals from Indian films while reporting on Asha Bhosle’s death, PEMRA reportedly called this a “wilful defiance [of] the judgment of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of Pakistan… wherein airing of Indian content was prohibited.” The Pakistan Supreme Court had reintroduced a ban on Indian films and television shows being broadcast on the country’s local channels in 2018. Although PEMRA imposed a ban on the airing of Indian content on local television and FM radio channels in 2016, the Lahore High Court lifted it in 2017.
