Mumbai-based freelance photojournalist and journalist Imtiyaz Shaikh has been conferred with the Special Journalism Award by the Maharashtra Urdu Academy. The honour was presented during the Academy’s Golden Jubilee celebrations, marking 50 years since its establishment on 8 October 2025. The award includes a cash prize of Rs 15,000 and a trophy. According to a Press Trust of India statement, in a career spanning more than two decades, Shaikh has earned a distinct name for his work. Over the years, he has worked with prominent media organisations such as Mumbai Urdu News, Do Bajay Dopahar, Urdu Times, PTI, Mid-Day, Getty Images, Anadolu Agency (Turkey), Gujarat Samachar, Sun TV, and The Times of India. His photographs have appeared in several national and international newspapers and magazines, earning widespread recognition. One music critic got this comment on X: “you ain’t gonna be this brave when we drop your address”. Network18 Media and Investments Limited has announced its results for the quarter ended September 30, 2025. The network’s operating revenue for the news segment increased 7% year-on-year (YoY) to Rs 477 crores in Q2 FY26, up from Rs 445 crores in Q2 FY25. For the first half of FY26, the revenue stood at Rs 907.6 crore, slightly higher than Rs 898 crore the previous year. The news business's operating expenses rose to Rs 469.8 crore in Q2 FY26 compared to Rs 438 crore in the same quarter last year.  Similarly, H1 FY26 expenses were Rs 896 crore, slightly up from Rs 888 crore in H1 FY25. The operations EBITDA for Q2 remained flat at 7.4 crore compared to Rs 7 crore in the same quarter previous year, while H1 FY26 EBITDA jumped 21.7% YoY to Rs 11.5 crore. “During the first half of the financial year, revenue growth has been flattish on a YoY basis.
