Kalyan Barooah Awards 2025 presented in New Delhi

The awards honour the memory of late journalist Kalyan Barooah and recognise outstanding work in journalism and literature from the Northeast. The event was organised by the Delhi-based NGO My Home India and the North East Media Forum on Barooah’s birth anniversary.
This year, four journalists and writers were honoured for their contributions across print, electronic, and digital media.
Monalisa Changkija, editor of Nagaland Page, received the Lifetime Achievement Award for her long and influential career in journalism.
Amal Goswami, Chief Correspondent at Dainik Janambhumi, was awarded in the Print Media category.
