Halliday’s Multiplier switches from Substack to Ghost

By Will McLennan in Media News on
Reviews.org’s Fergus Halliday has shifted his Multiplier newsletter from Substack to Ghost, saying the project had outgrown Substack’s limitations. “Things are now at a point with the project where it makes more sense to make the shift over there to a more customizable platform,” Halliday told Influencing.  Halliday said the switch, completed recently, gives the publication a cleaner URL, a visual refresh and a new blog section, SoloQ, which will feature further reporting and criticism from the journalist, including his past investigative feature on Hellgate London. Halliday maintained it was business as usual, and he would continue to chat with new people in the games space. He added the initial catalyst for the move was Substack’s “unfortunate habit of amplifying and profiting off far-right content. This is an issue that’s been in the media for a couple of years now…The company's long-term failure to respond to those demands has somewhat pushed me away from it

Image source: NDTV and The Hindu; Edited by Dinesh Raj M   In a setback for Opposition-ruled states, the Supreme Court unanimously ruled on Thursday that it has no jurisdiction or power to set a timeline for a governor or the President to take a decision on bills passed by state assemblies, ask the President to seek SC’s opinion on bills reserved for her and involving constitutional questions, and grant ‘deemed assent’ to bills pending with a governor.
