SBS News hosts “Party Time” political podcast to guide young voters

SBS has announced a new political podcast, Party Time, hosted by journalists Elfy Scott and Rania Yallop. In the 30-minute weekly podcast, Yallop and Scott will break down the core policies and key debates, uncovering what to expect from politicians, lobbyists, and parties. They will contextualise issues and provide answers to various questions to help young voters make an informed decision about the upcoming Federal Election on May 03, 2025.  “It’s important that young voters have access to political content that’s made for them,” Yallop said. “Our aim is to make those political debates a little less dry and more digestible for the average 18-30-year-old who may be voting for the first time or have been a bit lost and disconnected with the news cycle.” The series will also explore key issues such as climate change, cost of living among others,  identifying the winners and losers in the party campaigns.
