The Bangladesh government seeking the extradition of former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina through a note verbale (diplomatic note) almost five months after she was toppled by a public uprising and fled to India occupied the lead spot in almost all major English dailies highlighting the importance of the development in the already strained India-Bangladesh relationship.
Sachin Parashar and Ahsan Tasnim for The Times of India led their detailed report on what lies ahead for India following this development. "India may be left with the onerous task of navigating a diplomatic minefield after Bangladesh interim govt formally sought ousted PM Sheikh Hasina’s extradition," they wrote.
