MIB issues advisory to TV channels over obscene ads

Responding to a query in the Lok Sabha, Murugan outlined the ministry's efforts in addressing public grievances against misleading and inappropriate advertising.
In his written response, Murugan highlighted that the complaints were "suitably" addressed through a three-tier grievance redress mechanism established under the Cable Television Networks (Amendment) Rules. This system includes self-regulation by broadcasters, self-regulation by their self-regulating bodies, and oversight by the central government.
