Woman journalist found dead in Guwahati office

A young woman journalist working as an anchor for a local news portal was found dead inside her office in Guwahati on Monday morning. The deceased has been identified as Ritumoni Roy, who was supposed to get married on December 5. Preparations for the ceremony were reportedly underway.
According to police, Roy had attended a pre-wedding function at a friend’s residence on Sunday evening before returning to her office later that night. She is suspected to have died by suicide.
Initial information suggests that Roy had been on duty on November 23 but did not return home after completing her shift. Her colleagues discovered her body the following morning. Investigators also recovered a note from the room which read: “It is for the good of every...
